Download Xholon and Cellontro

Download Xholon and Cellontro from SourceForge.net. The main zip or tar.gz file includes the Java source code and a jar file, complete with all the sample applications. Once you unzip or untar the downloaded file, you will immediately be able to run the examples. Just follow the instructions in README.txt included within the downloaded file.

You will also need to download Java, either the J2SE SDK or the J2SE JRE, if you don't already have either of these installed on your computer. Xholon has been tested with the J2SE, version 1.4.2 and version 1.5.0, and also compiles with the J2ME libraries.

If you want to view your models in 3D, you will need to download a VRML viewer. I use Cortona from Parallel Graphics, version 4.2 or 5.0. They provide a free VRML viewer that runs inside Internet Explorer, Mozilla and other browsers. Parallel Graphics also offer a free VRML screen saver. Parallel Graphics products only work on Windows platforms. I haven't tested any VRML tools for other platforms, but you might want to try FreeWRL.
